  With more than 50 years of tradition, Butoku-kan has followed its unique and atypical path. Unlike the vast majority of karate academies today, we do not participate in championships or competitions, because when karate is seen in this way, the practice becomes shallow, futile and empty. The philosophy of this ancient Martial Art is true and profound, as it is not just about strengthening the body, winning or losing an opponent. Even if, by chance, he becomes champion, this will be an ephemeral glory and will belong to an increasingly distant past.

  Therefore, we seek to develop the essence of karate, that is, to develop the Spirit of the Samurai Warrior.

  After half a century of history, Butoku-kan has a NEW home! Inaugurating its fourth Dojo, in January 2023. During this enriching trajectory, Butoku-kan established itself in some places. The most interesting thing is that after going through several Dojos, the newly opened Dojo has a bit of history and the "traits" of the old ones.
